AfB staff equipped with company cars pick up retired hardware directly at the workplace. Great emphasis is placed on the security of personal data: hardware is transported in lockable containers, our buildings are guarded by cameras and access to them is strictly controlled.
The moment the hardware is entered into the inventory, its further destination needs to be determined (e.g. recycling or re-marketing). Afterwards, the hardware details are recorded (e.g. manufacturer, model, serial number, product number) and all customer labels are removed. All data will be saved to the Inventory Management System and linked to a uniquely identifiable Log ID.
Functional equipment will then undergo a professional cleaning process and, if necessary, will be repaired.
