It is always nice to meet people with the same values and common goals, who want to make our country a better place to live. This was also the case with our online meeting with Mr. Stanislav Lőrincz and Igor Hrošovský from the social enterprise Aptet based in Levice, Slovakia. Similar to us, they are a social enterprise aimed at social inclusion and improvement of life conditions for people from vulnerable groups to help them increase their chance for employment in the labor market. Unlike us, however, they focus not only on people with disabilities, but also on pre-seniors, seniors, mothers, graduates and other vulnerable groups. Their activities consist of providing trainings for people over the age of 50 years, with the goal, to make them more interesting for the labor market.

The logical outcome of our conversation was the decision to join our forces and try to reach as many people as possible with our ideas. "We appreciate every effort to create jobs for disadvantaged people and for their integration into an employed life. We see, that there are many companies in Slovakia, including our partners, which place great emphasis on socially responsible business. Aptet offers many accounting and administrative services, that could be of interest to them. Also the companies, with which Aptet cooperates, could be interested in services regarding discarded hardware," outlined the content of the cooperation our CEO Marek Antoňák. "As a first step, we decided to provide Aptet with PCs, monitors and accessories for a symbolic price. We believe that this is only the beginning of a long, fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation, which will inspire other social enterprises to cooperate more closely in the future," he added.

Stanislav Lörincz, the manager of Aptet ISP, also took part in the handover, which took place on 5 May 2021 at our premises and clarified the future of our refurbished hardware. "We will use this computer hardware to operate the Information and Monitoring Center in Levice, which will enable the creation of new jobs and bring social innovation for providing services for seniors," he said. "We believe, that we will achieve an increased interest in products and services offered by our social enterprises and we will address a wider range of companies interested in socially responsible business through mutual cooperation and promotion. We are convinced that a long-term partnership of social enterprises has been established," he shared his expectations towards the beginning of our cooperation.
