03.12.2019

Every year we commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities since 1992, more specifically since October 14, 1992, when this date was established by the United Nations General Assembly in Resolution no. 47/3. The main aim of this day is to highlight the problems of people with disabilities, to promote their rights and to create decent living conditions for them. In addition, the International Day of People with Disabilities also sets partial aims every year. The 2019 theme is  Promoting the participation of persons with disabilities and their leadership: taking action on the 2030 Development Agenda.

As a social enterprise, AfB is actively involved in the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workforce, as evidenced by the fact that the number of people with disabilities is up to 60 percent within Afb Slovakia s.r.o. and 43 percent in the whole AfB organization. We would like to congratulate our fellow citizens today, as well as all organizations and people who help and support the participation of people with disabilities in society in their daily lives.
